Introduction to Glassblowing Intensive

A 4-week studio intensive introducing fundamental techniques of glassblowing. Students will utilize traditional methods as a foundation for exploring glass as a material and its significance as an artistic medium. Students need to provide their own safety glasses, all other supplies will be provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY
ALL requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. The registration fee, minus a $20 cancellation fee, will be refunded if you cancel by (week before class begins). Any time after that date, no refunds will be issued. Refunds are not given to participants who voluntarily drop out of the class.
Studio Health and Safety Policy
You are responsible for the safety of yourself and others around you. If you are in the studio you must wear safety glasses, closed toed shoes and all natural fiber clothing while working in the hotshop. No polyester, rayon, nylon, etc. If you do not have safety glasses or closed toed shoes you will not be able to work in the glass studio and will be asked to leave, and will be counted absent for that day. Long hair must be tied back while working in hotshop.
Anyone acting in an unsafe manner will be asked to leave the glass studio. The glass studio can be dangerous if not used properly. As with any heavy equipment dangerous behavior will not be tolerated.NO EXCEPTIONS!
Students are not allowed to work in the studio and the hot shop outside of class time.
